For more than a quarter of a century, the NMBC has provided assistance, education, advocacy and guidance on international trade to its members and other small and medium-sized firms and individuals. We have taken members and other interested entrepreneurs on several investment and trade missions overseas, including to Jamaica, Great Britain, South Africa, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Dominican Republic. In our initiatives and programs, we collaborate and partner with U.S. government agencies, such as the U.S. Small Buusines Administation, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, EXIM Bank, U.S. Department of Commerce, as well as with the investment and promotion agencies of foreign governments. With the success and experience of the past, and with a firm eye on the needs of the future, we are now making a conscious decision to shift our focus from our role as educators to a role of dealmakers. This Web site will provide intelligence on overseas markets and opportunities, trade leads, and links to other international trade programs and services. It will also provide updates on international trade issues that may affect small and mid-sized enterprises as they do business in the global arena.
