 Participants will be given an overnight assignment utilizing the SWOT technique in the development of a Business Plan.

INSTRUCTORS

Fritz-Earle Mc Lymont, Managing Partner, Mc Lymont, Kunda & Co.

Fritz-Earle started his entrepreneurial career in the service industry (management consulting) in the late 1960s, followed by manufacturing, transportation services, tourism. He currently operates an international trade and business development company.

 

As a young entrepreneur, before the age of 35, Mc Lymont was recognized in “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry” in the U.S., featured in The Wall Street Journal. He was extensively covered in national and local publications for his entrepreneurial activities; the subject of a documentary on minority businesses by the U.S. Information Agency; a regular lecturer/speaker on business; and a co-founder of the National Minority Business Council, Inc. Fritz-Earle has operated businesses in the U.S. and overseas, and has contracted his entrepreneurial skills to governments and large institutions. His clients today are primarily private entrepreneurs operating small and mid-sized firms in the U.S., Africa and the Caribbean. His experiences include the start-up, close down, and successful management of businesses with employee sizes ranging from one to more than 100, budgets in the millions of dollars and personnel comprising the illiterate to PhDs.   

 

Don Green, President CEO, Sunsplash Productions

A seasoned entrepreneur and educator, Don has developed companies with a global reach and impact. He lectures at several universities in the fields of marketing, management, entrepreneurship & small business management and international business.

Co-founder of the Reggae Sunsplash music festival, Don was responsible for the development of the audio-visual product, international satellite and pay-per-view broadcasts of the Sunsplash programs, managing the Reggae Sunsplash world tours, and branding the Reggae Sunsplash name globally.

Industry specific - (tourism, entertainment/music) integrated the concept of music-tourism and economic development by using the music festival as the catalyst to attract visitors to Jamaica.

Corporate and government experience began with the IBM Corporation and continued with the government of Jamaica in the areas of Information Technology, Forestry and identifying and developing niche markets for the tourism industry.

 

Michael Gansl

Michael is a successful, hands-on entrepreneur specializing in working with teams of individual contributors to implement revenue and business growth opportunities.

Mr. Gansl’s extensive experience includes developing sales teams and sales and marketing strategies for both early stage and mature companies. 

 

As President and CEO of Netlan Interactive for 15 years, Michael led the company to the forefront of the network systems integration market. He was responsible for initiating sales and marketing programs including Sandler sales training, as well as developing e-business strategies. His experience with selling strategies included building multiple teams of sales people for systems integration, application development and technical training. His focus on strategic sales management and sales compensation plans enabled the company to grow to $17.5 million in annual sales.
